An end to end aviation fuel storage, handling & design service

With a team of specialists in petrochemical design and project management with specific experience in aviation fuel handling projects, MCE offers a customer-focused and fully independent alternative to the large consultancies and petroleum companies.

We can work directly with owners/operators independent to any supply arrangement, which allows for an objective assessment and recommendation, as well as being cost-effective.

With extensive experience in the petrochemical industry, our engineers have managed projects relating to all aspects of aviation fuel storage and handling systems from single tank and dispenser installations to bulk storage, hydrant systems, loading and unloading facilities, pipelines and operation and maintenance.

The range of services we offer includes:

  • Feasability Testing
  • Master planning
  • Concept design
  • Project management
  • Fuel systems
  • Fuel storage and handling documentation
  • Technical or industry advice

Projects

Mine Site Airport Refuelling System - MCE have provided BHP Billiton with the necessary technical, design and project management input to successfully construct airport fuelling facilities to minimise disruption to FIFO requirements. MCE has been involved in all facets of the concept from feasibility development through to on-site commissioning in line with BP requirements.

Engine Test Facility - MCE was responsible for design and construction of fuel and air supply as well as water treatment for an engine test facility at Bankstown airport. The project was undertaken as part of a construction team under a head contractor contract.

Fuel Distributors - MCE have carried out many varying projects for airport fuel distributors and airport tenants. These projects range from audit and inspection on behalf of the airport authority to design and engineering consultation direct to the suppliers on issues such as maintenance, construction and support systems.

Qantas - MCE has conducted an ongoing dangerous and hazardous goods evaluation of the Qantas Essendon training facility and the entire sphere of operations of Qantas and its affiliate airlines at Brisbane Airport.
