Client: RAAF BASE RICHMOND DEPARTMENT OF DEFENCE
Project: Fuel facility upgrade - complete compliance inspection and then design of upgraded bulk aviation fuel storage, pumping facilities, automation and aircraft refuelling.
Further details: MCE are the design consultants for the Fuel Farm Upgrade at RAAF Base Richmond NSW. MCE is responsible for the complete design and documentation of the upgrade works in accordance with all the relevant Australian, International, Defence and Air Force Standards and Instructions, Statutory Regulations, Rules of Regulatory Authorities and Codes of Practice from project start up through construction to commissioning and delivery. MCE is also acting as the technical expert for the Department of Defence on the project.

Client: RAAF BASE WILLIAMTOWN DEPARTMENT OF DEFENCE
Project: Fuel facility upgrade - Lead Consultants for major upgrade works to service new AEW&C aircraft as part of the Base ongoing redevelopment works.
Further details: MCE are the design consultants for the fuel facilities element of the Stage One Redevelopment works at RAAF Base Williamtown NSW. The project includes the design of new fuelling facilities to supply the Royal Australian Air Forces new "Wedgetail" Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) aircraft. The facilities are being designed in accordance with all the relevant Australian, International, Defence and Air Force Standards and Instructions, Statutory Regulations, Rules of Regulatory Authorities and Codes of Practice. MCE is required to monitor and identify problems, assess risks and assist to facilitate early and cost effective resolution of problems to achieve delivery of the project within the specified performance criteria of time, cost, quality and functionality through to commissioning. Part of this project also included conducting a Hazard and Operability Study (HAZOP) on the pre-completed design of the fuel farm, along with risk assessments of existing facilities.
